The 8th English Culture and Art Festival of JMI was Successfully Concluded

On the afternoon of December 1, the closing ceremony and summary and commendation meeting of the 8th English Culture and Art Festival hosted by the School of International Education was held in Room 301, Jinghui Building. Zhang Yuanyuan, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education, and many other teachers including Liu Tingting, Guo Jingjing, Liu Jian, and nearly 100 students participated in the activity.

First of all, Ms. Zhang Yuanyuan delivered a speech in English, expressing her gratitude to the instructors of the festival and English associations. She said the holding of the English Culture and Art Festival had improved the students' comprehensive English literacy and enriched the campus cultural life, and she hoped to make the English Culture and Art Festival a traditional brand of JMI and continue to do it well. Later, Deputy Dean Zhang Yuanyuan and English teacher Liu Jian read out the winners of the English Calligraphy Contest, the English Recitation Contest and the English Dubbing Contest respectively. Afterwards, Zhang Xinyue sang the song Yesterday Once More, who  impressed the audience with her beautiful voice; The dance performances selected by the Spoken English Club and the English Association show the youth and vitality of modern college students; The performance of the English drama Journey to the West selected by the English Association was so interesting and vivid that the audience could not help laughing. Finally, the wonderful chorus My Love by all members of the English Association brought this English Culture and Art Festival to a successful end.

The series activities of 8th English Culture and Art Festival lasted for about a month, including English Calligraphy Contest, English Recitation Contest, English Listening and Speaking Contest and English Dubbing Contest. Affected by the epidemic, the scale of this English Culture and Art Festival is smaller than that of the activities before the outbreak of the epidemic, but students are actively signing up.
