From November 9 to 15, 2022, the English Calligraphy Contest of the English Culture and Art Festival hosted by the School of International Education was held as scheduled. As one of the series activities of the annual English Culture and Art Festival, this activity always attractive wide participation and is loved by many students of JMI.
The English Calligraphy Contest is divided into two rounds. First, a preliminary contest is held within class and the associations, and then two outstanding works are selected in each class to enter the final stage of the competition. This activity aims to enrich students' lives, stimulate their interests, create an atmosphere for English learning, and promote the English cultural activities in JMI.
As one of the most popular activities of the English Culture and Art Festival, the 2022 English Calligraphy Competition has received wide attention, and a total of 205 pieces of works enter the final stage of the competition. After four rounds of careful selection by teacher judges, a total of 10 works for Superbness Award, 10 works for Excellence Award and 10 works for Creativity Award were selected. The entries were all well-designed, of distinguished styles and full of creativity. Each piece of work embodies the time, energy and efforts devoted by the contestants, and reflects JMI students’ enthusiasm for English calligraphy and their support for the activity.
