On the afternoon of September 28, The School of International Education held a teaching salon with the theme of integrating excellent traditional Chinese culture into higher vocational English education. More than 20 teachers from different departments participated in the activity.
This salon event invited Mr. Li Wanhua, a senior craftsman and artist from Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, and a representative inheritor of municipal paper-cut, to show the skills of traditional Chinese paper-cut. Teachers practiced and made their own satisfactory paper-cut works.
In the process of learning paper-cut, teachers were deeply inspired to explore learning by doing and take cultural practice works as the starting point, bringing many new ideas for the project-based teaching reform of English in higher vocational colleges and the ideological and political education of traditional cultural courses.
